Fall 2010

If you have seen the old blog posts, I use this for every semester and no one has been on here since last spring. Feel free to reply to this message and comment on each other's posts.

Blogs are great if you keep up with them, but more often than not they tend to go dead after a month or two if there isn't something to keep people posting on them. This is why they are great for schools, organizations and other interest groups.

My learning style is a mixture of Verbal/Linguistic, Interpersonal, and Intrapersonal. I do best when I can read about it, write about it, then discuss it with someone else. I also enjoy group settings where I can brainstorm with a group of people or participate in a hands on activity to learn a procedure or concept. Sometimes, however, I do best when I'm alone. When I'm reading I have to have a quiet environment. I think it's best to incorporate all of my different learning styles when I'm learning a new concept. It really helps me to retain what I'm learning. At my job I write all of the instruction manuals and Quality Specifications for employees to learn how to produce the products we manufacture. They read the manual to find out what is expected then they basically learn by doing. I also provide pictures, and, text in Spanish.
